If you search for meetups in Shanghai, you will see there are many cool social groups.I didn’t realize there are so many opportunities until I learned this from, on which you can also see the introduction about using Groupon and Google Places to attract more people.

2. Make your own app

It is a do-it-yourself platform to create content-based apps for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone. One amazing fact is that appmakr doesn’t require any coding knowledge.

3.(Specific to Clubs in China)

It is a Chinese social networking service that exists as the Chinese remake of Facebook. It would be simple to operate if you can use a native Chinese person to operate renren for you. Your target market would be primarily younger Chinese generation age 14-30. It is a great website to attract those people who wants to learn more about other cultures, and practice their English. Creating a public page on renren and regularly update your posts will sure fit the gap in the market.

4. (Specific to Clubs in China) Wechat

It supports social networking via shared streaming content feeds and location-based social plug-ins (‘Shake’, ‘Look Around’, and ‘Drift Bottle’) to chat with and befriend local and international WeChat users. Text, voice messages, video talks and many other features are free, therefore it is growing in between international users.
